Our wood chip/mulch is a byproduct of our commercial tree trimming and removal business. The mulch is clean and organic. The chips are produced by putting the entire tree through the woodchipper. This includes trunks of trees, branches, leaves, and all other tree parts. Consistency of loads varies based on species. The quantity of the mulch is around 20-25 cubic yards, which covers an area of around 2,000 square feet 2-3 inches deep. It comes in a commercial dump truck and the area you want it dumped in must be wide enough for the truck. We bring the mulch from the job site to you, so we will deliver it when we have a job in your area. It is great for weed suppression, water retention, dog runs, muddy areas, etc.

How does it work?

We have a list of people who want woodchips, and when we are in your area AND have a full load of chips we can drop them off at no charge. Please fill out this form and we can get you on the list.

What do you get?

One load of chips is equal to 20-25 cubic yards of chips (that covers about 2000 sq. feet at 2-3 inches deep). We CANNOT deliver partial loads of chips but can deliver multiple loads if desired. Chips vary depending on the species of trees removed or trimmed and fed through the chipper that day – a mixture of both wood and leaves. Most likely it will consist of several different species of trees. You may ask to exclude specific species of trees but it will impact the time it takes to get chips.

How long will it take?

We can not give you a specific date when you will get the chips. There is no order in which the chips are delivered. It depends on where we are working on the day of delivery. Make sure you are within our service area before you submit your request.
There are a few variables that determine when the woodchips can be delivered.

  • We need to be in your neighborhood.
  • We need to have a full load of chips (we will NOT deliver a partial load).

Given those factors it can be as soon as 1 to 2 days but can be up to 2 weeks to get the woodchips.

It is important to note that the chips do not look like the chips you might find at Lowe’s or Home Depot, which are graded for size, uniformity, and dyed. It does compost down to mostly wood pieces.

* Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery, as our crew will visit your home the next time they are in your area.

Once the woodchips/mulch is delivered we do not pick it back up.

We will call you when we have a job in your area and bring you the mulch.
